Here you will find activities and events available on Tioman Island, Malaysia.
Discover Tioman’s ocean
From snorkeling, SCUBA diving and Freediving, Tioman offers many ways to enjoy being under water, as well as over water for the fishing and snorkeling enthusiasts.
Tioman is a Marine Park and boasts some of the most beautiful snorkeling and dive sites in Malaysia. There is a lot to see at the house reef just in front of The Station Tioman, but you can also hop on a boat for an island hopping trip around the coast of Tioman and its nearby islands.
Despite the Marine Park status, there are certain areas where fishing is allowed. Most trip operators on Tioman will include fishing gear and bait, and take you to some of Tioman’s best fishing spots. There are many kinds of fish around the island and you stand a chance to catch red snapper, grouper, GT, and other types of trevally. You may choose to catch and release, or you may decide to have your catch cooked at one of the local restaurants for a fresh fish dinner (the restaurant will charge a fee for cooking).
Island Hopping is probably the most popular activity on Tioman, next to diving. You will be taken out by a speedboat, which can usually hold up to 14 passengers. Life jackets, mask and snorkel are provided on board.

Discover Tioman’s jungle
Tioman’s natural jungle hosts an array of indigenous flora and fauna from the Tioman rafflesia, certain species of frogs, chameleons, snakes, mouse deer, porcupines and more.
Although the list of Tioman’s wildlife might sound a little intimidating at first, sightings are actually quite rare as most jungle animals prefer to avoid humans – with the exception of the monkeys. The best way to explore the jungle is with a local guide, and we have one that we highly recommend. Pak Lan and his wife Kak Sal, are experts when it comes to Tioman’s wildlife and plantlife. He will show you the paths to the Tioman rafflesia and take you to a part of the jungle full of chameleons and flying lizards.
